Save the date for The 29th Annual African American Downtown Festival!

The vibrant heart of Ann Arbor will once again come alive with the spirit of community, heritage, and celebration as the 29th Annual African American Downtown Festival unfolds on Saturday, June 6, 2026.

This annual event welcomes everyone to join in, bring your lawn chairs, and listen to entertainment, shop vendors, grab some food, and have fun with community. 

Founded by the indomitable Lucille Hall Porter, this festival is a profound homage to the contributions made by Black business leaders who have shaped the Historic Black Business District while fostering a sense of togetherness among community members.
