Avalon Housing is a local non-profit organization that helps the communities most vulnerable citizens find permanently affordable housing without preconditions. Then they provide them with essentials to stay in their homes and an inclusive and supportive community in which to belong.
Jessica's Apothecary & Spa recognizes that it is a luxury to have access to high quality, organic skin care products and services. In an effort to give back to our community we are gathering self care items to donate to Avalon Housing. The self care items will be distributed through their community center pantries and also put into welcome baskets when a resident is placed into a home. We are asking our friends, family, and clients to imagine the comfort and joy that these items will provide to people in need and consider adding to the goodness by donating to the Giving Tree. We have created a list of suggested items (see below) that can be purchased from the Apothecary or Over-the-Counter.
The Giving Tree also gives back! When you purchase any of the vetted donation items (listed below) your name will be added to a raffle and you will have the chance to win prizes. There are 10 prizes in total and include a $100 Apothecary gift card, the Arctic Berry Peptide Radiance Cream Holiday Set, and an Eminence Organics Stone Crop Body Lotion. For every product you purchase from the Apothecary for donation your name will be entered one time into the raffle. If you bring in an Over-the-Counter item to donate along with the Apothecary item you purchase, you will receive 10% off the Apothecary item.
Donations and raffle drawing will take place at the end of December.

Kerrytown District retail businesses and restaurants stay open late on this evening as they participate in the festivities. You can expect a variety of artisans selling their wares, food and crafts as well as local food trucks & vendors. Beer and Glühwein will be available for sale, too!
