Within the animal kingdom, there are many different “jobs” animals take on in order to survive. Many of these jobs involve engineering! Come explore the world of engineering through the eyes of an animal such as a bird, mammal or insect and learn how us humans can study these animal behaviors to invent or improve designs in our own world! Students will be introduced to the concepts of engineering as well as explore four human engineering careers that relate to behaviors found within the animal kingdom. See the parent guide with activities listed here: https://www.lesliesnc.org/sites/default/files/CAH-Parent-Inside-Look-Engineer-It-Final.pdf

Camp-at-Home is specially designed to reduce the amount of time campers spend on a screen and encourage children to spend their summer outside exploring and discovering STEM and the natural world. Getting children up, moving, and engaging in science has always been at the core of camp and continues to be an integral part of Camp-at-Home!
