Our Deli meat counter is busy all day long, slicing and wrapping delicious meats from around the world. In this JUST FOR KIDS tasting, we’re going to expand your palette beyond the ordinary turkey and ham that you might find on the sandwich in your lunchbox. We’ll learn about the variety of meats made around the world – from Italian prosciutto from Italy to Hungarian salami – and what makes the ones we bring here to the Deli different from what you might find at the grocery store. And best yet … we’ll taste them all!
We think kids ages 4-14 would most enjoy this tasting. Parents are welcome to attend at no charge and observe on the sidelines. All participants will receive a 20% off coupon to use after the tasting to eat and/or shop at the Deli. Kerrytown District retail businesses and restaurants stay open late on this evening as they participate in the festivities. You can expect a variety of artisans selling their wares, food and crafts as well as local food trucks & vendors. Beer and Glühwein will be available for sale, too!
