Kerrytown Concert House continues its performance mentorship project connecting area master musicians with young, promising artists for a series of performances and mentorship conversations. This concert pairs legendary saxophonist/clarinetist and Kresge Eminent Artist, Wendell Harrison, with outstanding, young trumpeter, Trunino Lowe. In addition to being a founder of Tribe Records and playing alongside musicians like Marvin Gaye, Sun Ra, and Aretha Franklin, Harrison is a passionate advocate of community mentorship, education, and engagement. Harrison and Lowe will also host a pre-concert conversation/masterclass at 5:30 PM that is free and open to the public.
