Our new virtual series, Laughter at the Happy Hour, is inspired by KCH’s long-time friendship with celebrated cabaret duo (and Ann Arbor townies), Bolcom & Morris! Since 1973, Pulitzer and Grammy award winning composer and pianist, William Bolcom, and his wife and musical partner – Chanteuse, Joan Morris – have been delighting audiences across the globe with performances that traverse Broadway, vaudeville and music hall – bringing alive music from the ragtime era to the end of the 20th century in their unique, and often hilarious style. The iconic duo has performed at KCH literally since the doors opened in 1984, charming audiences and inspiring other cabaret artists to follow in their footsteps. This new monthly series celebrates Bolcom & Morris and sometimes even features them!! In these strange and uncertain times, who couldn’t use a little Laughter at the Happy Hour?
