Daphnis and Chloe is a small batch culinary herb and spice shop located in Athens, Greece. Started in 2013, they aim to bring the quality and diversity of culinary plants from small farms across Greece to our kitchens around the globe. Ari says that the smell of their herbs ” transports me back to the Greek countryside (if you haven’t been, it may make you want to go)”. We love to make tea and cook with their herbs and are excited to introduce you to them in this Meet the Maker event.
Deli Managing Partner Grace Singleton and Deli Tea Buyer Jackson Konwinski will be joined by Daphnis and Chloe founder Evangelia Koutsovoulou to talk about the Greek tea and spices we sell at the Deli. You’ll learn more about what inspired her to start this company, where she sources the herbs and spices from, how they are processed, and some suggestions about how to brew tea and cook with them. But wait, that’s not all! For an additional $25 per person, you can enjoy a few teas and some special dishes from recipes shared by Evangelia and prepared by our Deli chefs. The food will come prepared, with easy assembly or reheat instructions for you.
