Have you ever noticed one of our mongers proudly wearing a colorful t-shirt displaying a semi-nude cartoon mermaid (thanks Fishwife!)? Or perhaps you’ve smelled their briny breath across the counter? For sure, you’ve noticed our shelves bursting at the seams with colorful conservas from around the world–rich in protein, omega-3’s and full-flavored goodness, tinned seafood preserves the oceans best at the peak of flavor and quality. Tinned fish is not only a delicious, healthy choice, it’s also supremely sustainable, ultra portable and easy to store.
Join our fish mongers on Zoom for an elevated tinned fish picnic for two!! Our enthusiastic staff (or tinned fish heads, as we affectionately call them) are taking their hastily eaten lunches from behind our cheese counter and turning them into picnic dreams come true to be shared with you! Spread out your blanket, grab your favorite picnic pal and join us on Zoom where our tinned fish heads will share their love (and hopefully make the case to doubters) about the wave of the future: tinned fish. Your ticket will include 4 dishes (shipped from the Deli to anywhere in the US) that will feed 2 people for dinner, or will be generous portions for 1 (with leftovers, who doesn’t love leftovers?!). This tasting menu cannot be made vegetarian, dairy or gluten free.
