Elevated with Herbs de Provence olive oil, this casserole is a new take on a classic comfort food dish.

University of Michigan students Charlie Tokowitz, Jake Nader, Celine Shaji and Ruixue Yang from the Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning recently completed a local history project about the Zingerman’s Deli building at 422 Detroit Street.

Thistle and Bess sells specialty items, especially antique jewelry. The shop also sells a line of breathtaking original pieces designed by Marsh. Shoppers can find countless one of a kind items that are curated to “inspire, uplift and delight them”.

Once you walk into the gallery – which is located on Fourth Avenue, across the street from the courthouse and in between Literati and the Ann Arbor Farmer’s Market – it can be hard to decide what to look at first. In truth, it doesn’t really matter – the only time limit you have to enjoy the art is the fact that the show will rap on March 2.

Artistic and cultural events abound in Kerrytown, as well. The Farmers Market is the new home for FoolMoon, a ridiculous, beautiful long-standing Ann Arbor tradition that kicks off spring each April, and the African American Downtown Festival highlights the neighborhood’s rich history of black Ann Arborites and their contribution to the city throughout the years, just to name a few.

Rick Cocco's then-and-now compositions offer a unique look at our city's ever-changing landscape over the past one hundred years. Between 2018 and 2021, Cocco carefully composed his "now" photographs to match their historical counterparts, largely drawn from AADL's online collection of Ann Arbor News negatives.
